On 9 August,2016, Fu Yuanhui won a bronze medal in the final of women’s 100-metre backstroke in the Rio Olympics.
Fu Yuanhui was born on 7 January,1996 in Hangzhou. She is still an undergraduate student of Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine in Tianjin Medical University, from which she will graduate in one year. Meanwhile, she is on National Swimming Team, and specializes in backstroke. Due to her outstanding performances, she has gained many awards, of which one is a gold medal in the women’s 50-metre final in FINA World Championships. In the women’s 100-metre final in the Rio Olympics, she utilized her prehistorical powers and ranked third.
She enjoys great popularity because of her outspoken, outgoing and distinct character, which was obviously reflected in the interview after the competition on 9 August.
