A reducible geometric programming is applied to general design of optimum continual beam and frame. Two span beam and steel door-frame are calculated and give satisfactory results.
The paper uses the continual beam on elastic support as mathematics model of the fuel element rod, and uses transfer matrix method to solve eigenvalues and eigenvectors and responses under shock exciting.
