A businessman from the business district of London has defrauded investors of millions of pounds.
The demand for access to the sentencing were so high that two additional rooms were provided for defrauded investors, media and spectators to watch on closed-circuit television.
In April, the SEC sued Goldman Sachs and one of its employees for civil fraud, alleging they defrauded investors in selling a financial product tied to subprime mortgages, in 2007.
