Marine dumping of surplus excavated material and other construction wastes is not permitted unless there is no other environmentally feasible disposal option and the marine dumping of the waste has no undue adverse impact.
All waste materials, excluding river and pond sediment, shall be segregated into categories covering: excavated material or construction waste suitable for reuse on-site, reclamation or fill, construction waste for disposal at public dump or landfill, chemical waste, and general refuse.
Temporary on-site storage of excavated materials shall be covered with tarpaulin or similar fabric.
