The book I read is about Marie Curie, the first woman scientist who won the Nobel Prize.
Marie was born in Poland but she had to go to Paris for further study, where she began her scientific work. Due to her devotion and dedication to science, she made a great discovery — radium, which contributed to the development of nuclear power and medical treatment. However, she asked nothing for what she had done and made sure that radium should be used to benefit the human race.
When reading her story, I was moved to tears several times. I admired her so much that I made up my mind to work hard and become a scientist. I think I need to improve my studies and prepare for my future career.
