If you have a wireless network adapter and you want to choose your own network settings, clear the Automatically configure this adapter check box.
You previously selected Custom and then changed one or more network settings. Those changes will be kept even if you now select Typical. To change network settings after Setup is complete, open the Network Connections folder by right-clicking My Network Places and clicking Properties.
